| The evolutionary process in techniques and subject matter has driven the art work of Marianne Lerbs towards a diverse group of artistic expressions. Experimenting with different mixed media had been part of the process; however, the validity of proven materials and longevity in time have prompted always the use of such materials in such manner that it favors ageless endurance. In recent years, besides her oil paintings, she has embraced sculptural works in stone as a statement of permanence. Works in marble, alabaster and steatite have been shown in New Orleans, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Palm Coast and Venezuela. This current online portfolio shows a sample of such works. |
